The GNU Health Alliance of Academic and Research Institutions

The GNU Health Alliance is a GNU Solidario program comprising a global network of academic and research institutions around the world with the mission of provide a sustainable solutions to the current social and biomedical challenges, using GNU Health and Free Software components.

Mission

• Provide academic and research institutions the necessary tools to boost the sustainable development of social, medical, computational and biological sciences.
• Collaborate with local entities in health promotion and disease prevention.
• Train students and personnel in Free Software applied to Health Sciences.
• Generate an inter-institutional federated network that would allow the generation of open data related to social and biomedical areas.
• Involve and make the bridge between academic institutions and the community.
• Integrate the citizens to the use of technology that improves the quality of life of themselves and their communities.
